Three level systems for energy conversion

Materials: Semiconductors Organic
Application: Electronic Energy
Technique: Processing Characterization

We are investigating organic and inorganic materials that have more than one excited energy state, and can undergo two-photon up-conversion processes. These can be used in high-efficiency 3rd generation photovoltaic devices, where both high- and low-energy solar photons contribute to the photocurrent.
