Vaishno is a second year electrical engineering graduate student, working in the Goldman Group. She received her B.S.E.E. degree from the University of Michigan in December 2002. She is studying the growth and XSTM study of InAs/GaAs quantum dots, and other materials that could be used for infrared detection.

Mike Hjelmstad

Mike received his B.S.E. degree from Univ. of Michigan in April of 2000. Mike worked in industry for 2 years before returning to Michigan to pursue a Ph.D. His current research is related to spintronic structures and their characterization with cross-sectional STM.
