Biography
My research interests include laser surface remelting of soft/hard phase eutectic alloys (e.g., Al-Si, Al-Si-Ge), and their characterization in terms of microstructure (electron microscopy based) and mechanical behavior (mainly done by nanoindentation and micropillar compression). Long term goal of my work is to evade the strength-ductility paradox using laser rapid solidified interface dominant nano eutectics.
