Mathematical Methods of Materials Science

Equips students with mathematical tools needed to succeed in upper-level curriculum in Materials
Science & Engineering. Topics taught include linear algebra, complex variables, series of functions, and statistics. There is a strong emphasis on the practical usage and scientific utility of mathematical concepts. Applications include quantum mechanics in materials, diffraction techniques, and scientific data analysis.
