Surface Characterization of Thermoplastics

Materials: Organic
Application: Structural
Technique: Processing Characterization

This project involves the near surface characterization of thermoplastics such as polypropylene blends as a function of processing condition. Optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, fine focused wide-angle X-ray scattering, and small angle X-ray scattering all used to provide a comprehensive understanding of the morphology of these materials.
